Near Death Experiences

For every living being on the planet, from the smallest critters to the largest creations, there is an inevitable outcome impossible to escape. Life is called into existence with the guarantee of expiration. Everything animated by energy eventually returns its fuel back into the universe where it is passed through the cosmic nether, and perhaps one day, becoming part of a new creation. Within the law of physics, where energy cannot be created or destroyed, then too is it possible for the energy our livelihood is founded upon becomes the building blocks of future life.

The brain is a centralized union of synapses which convert electrical impulses into chemical neurotransmitters designed to achieve a specific outcome. These transmissions can change cell behavior, request desired function, and relay information bi-directionally. Current estimates indicate the human brain contains around 150 trillion synapses requiring between 400 to 500 calories a day to function.

When trying to imagine the momentum generated by 150 trillion synapses to relay electrical and chemical messages to and from the brain, it's interesting to consider what type of effect results when the flow of electricity is suddenly removed. Do those signals skip beyond junctions which no longer have the energy to trigger neurotransmitters? Do different states of consciousness activate different pathways as appropriate to the present state of being?

It is evident biological needs change for sleep, where bodily processes are put into a more regenerative state capable of repair at much higher rates. The sensory cortex can switch modes, becoming less dependent on stimulation which helps guide the motor cortex, and both benefit from the rest through a new cycle. Then, after the sleepful state, the mode reactivates the sensory and motor cortexes, resulting in redistribution of electrical signals once again.

Dendera Capricornio

As the energy ebbs and flows, lighting and dimming parts of the brain, it’s possibly the residual impulses from shifting cycles that could be responsible for dreams, or even maybe near death experiences. Like the Dendera Capricornio relief, reality becomes a mixture of elements in a dream. For example, could faint signals traveling along altered pathways mildly stimulate the visual cortex during sleep in a meaningful enough way that we’re able to see them in the short moments before waking? Likewise, could similar phenomena exist on the verge of death which floods back to a perceived reality as the heart begins to beat again?

What’s even more intriguing is how powerful those events are. A very vivid dream or out-of-body experience from a traumatic situation can be compelling enough to change our perception of existence from that point forward. Along with this, there is the fact that many people have similar experiences and interpretations. There are many who observe a white light and upward pull toward the sky from an intense near-death event. They describe being able to see beyond the veil into another realm which is similar yet different from the reality we understand.

Even if the glimpse into what exists after death is a biologically induced phenomena due to the change of energy flowing through our consciousness, there are stunning indications what happens next is beyond current comprehension. Perhaps these experiences help us better understand true reality by expanding our way of thinking, revitalizing our souls in a way others relate to instantaneously without a need for deeply complex interpretation.
